Q. What is Press-Release.Today?
A. Press-Release.Today is an online news and press release distribution service, owned by by the Fourth Estate Public Benefit Corporation.

Q. How much do you charge?
A.  We believe that everyone should affordable access to the media and that most businesses cannot afford to spend hundreds of dollars to submit a press release.  It costs just $5 to send a press release. 

Q. How do the press releases get distributed?
A. Your press releases get released through a variety of channels including our web site, via syndicated feeds, by email and API to Fourth Estate affiliated news organizations, through the FeedSyndicate service and through search engine submission processes.

Q. Can you guarantee that my press release will be picked up by the news media?
A. No, sorry.  We cannot guarantee that your press release will be considered news worthy or will be picked up by media news sites or outlets.

Q. Why do I need to include a pdf, doc or ppt release?
A. We have found that many news organizations prefer to have an PDF or word versions or the press releases, we distribute this hardcopy to them.  It also provides another very valuable document for searchy engines to index.

Q. Will you write the press release for us?
A. No.We do not provide press release authoring or writing services.

Q. Can I include a logo with the press release?
A. Yes, there is an area to upload your logo on the press release submission page.

Q. Can I include links in the press release?
A. Yes, you can include a reasonable number of links. We recommend having five or fewer as many media outlets may ignore or remove press releases that have too many links

Q. Can I change a press release once it has been approved and distributed?
A. No Once a press release has been approved and distributed it cannot be changed or removed it from the sites that pick it up.

Q. What kind of press releases are accepted and not accepted?
A. We only accept press releases with headlines that are news worthy.

  • Libelous, defamatory, threats or hate promoting content.
  • Copyright violations.
  • Private and confidential personal information.
  • Spamming, hacking, cracking, malware or viruses or related content.
  • Content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or infringes on the legal rights of others
  • Non-english content.
  • Any other press release that we consider to be inappropriate for distribution.

 

Q. What is the best days and/or times to send a press release?
A. Monday through Friday and avoiding major holidays.

Q. How should I write the press release title?
A. Your press release title or headline should be truthful, clear, concise and compelling.
