On Tuesday, October 25, Ian Fletcher, CTO, Grass Valley, will be named as one of the new SMPTE Fellows for 2016. Fletcher's career began at the BBC, where he worked as a sound engineer before setting up his video production company. Following Omnibus' acquisition, Fletcher has continued to drive the development of software systems for Grass Valley, particularly in the emerging areas of cloud playout and virtualization.
